“The Devil’s Box” is a feature documentary about Texas-style fiddling. And it’s from director Jason Hammond, who graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1987.
Hammond also is a graduate of the University of Texas film school. His mom, Jimmie Hammond, is a former Woodrow PTA president.
Fellow 1987 Woodrow grad Erik Hansen is the film’s executive producer. Hansen is a graduate of Cornell University Law School. His mom, Marilyn Hansen, also is a former Woodrow PTA president. And his dad, Ken Hansen, helped build sets for the Woodrow musicals for many years. Ken Hansen died in December at age 87.
