The meeting will discuss how construction will impact the park and surrounding neighborhood. At a Park Board meeting last month, several board members expressed frustration with the delays on construction at Samuell-Grand’s new aquatic center, and they discussed trying to come up with more realistic construction windows for future aquatic construction. The same company was contracted to consult on all of the aquatic centers around Dallas.

The plans for the new pool include new lap lanes, a zero entry area for the little ones, more shaded areas, a tube slide and new bathrooms.

The meeting will be Tuesday, July 17 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Skillman Church of Christ Family Life Center, 3120 Skillman St. See below for an image of the future location of the aquatic center.
