Truck Yard will host the after party for those who donate money or fans to help keep Dallas seniors cool this summer.
The Lowest Greenville Collective will be hosting “Lowest G Cools Down the Big D” on Saturday, July 29, from noon to 8 p.m. In collaboration with City of Dallas Office of Senior Affairs and the Dallas County Adult Protective Services, this fundraiser and block party, from Belmont Avenue to Ross Avenue, is to collect donations including money, fans, portable A/Cs and inform the public about the needs of senior citizens in greater Dallas. Wristbands will be given to those who donate, so they can enjoy specials from 24 local business and an after party at Truck Yard. More information is available here.
Looking for a way to show your talents to the public? Come out to Crowd Control, an open mic night ranging from music to comedy, at Mudsmith in Lower Greenville, happening every last Thursday of the month. The gathering will start from 7 to 10 p.m. and is open to all.

“ZimSculpt” includes 100 pieces of art made in Zimbabwean.
This weekend is your last chance to see ZimSculpt, the modern Zimbabwean sculpture exhibition, at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. The exhibit, which ends Monday, July 31, also features on-site artists that demonstrate their abilities in sculpting. All sculptures displayed and created on-site, are available for purchase. Tickets are $10-$15.
