District 2 Councilmember Jesse Moreno and Dallas Park and Recreation Board member Fonya Naomi Mondell are hosting a volunteer tree planting event at Samuell-Grand Park Saturday, Oct. 19.
The event, called Branching Out, will begin at 9 a.m. and participants will be able to plant trees at the park. There will be other another opportunity to volunteer at a tree planting event in the neighborhood at Casa Linda Park on Nov. 2.
Individuals interested in volunteering at the tree planting events are asked to fill out a registration form, detailing the parks they are interested in planting and completing a waiver.
