Lakewood 4th of July 2014

If you didn’t make it out for the Lakewood 4th of July parade, or if you did and want to look for yourself in the crowd or take another look at your favorite floats, you’re in luck. Neighborhood videographers and photographers Luke and Jennifer Shertzer with Ribbit Multimedia, a web design firm, captured the action for us.

The 40-minute parade featured all kinds of participants, from kids on bikes to the Lakewood Early Childhood PTA’s float announcing the theme for the fall Lakewood Home Festival (“Lakewood Pearls and Prohibition Speakeasy”, to be held Nov. 14 at the Belo Mansion Downtown).

For those of you wondering, the aerial footage of the parade was shot with Ribbit’s quadcopter around the corner of Lakewood Boulevard and Pearson.
