The speed score winner by 6 seconds, City Council District 9 candidate Mark Clayton, who probably wouldn’t be described as a man of few words, kept it short and sweet for the lightning round. Two things that might surprise people: He’s an avid gardener, “much to my wife’s chagrin,” Clayton notes; and he worked in the endangered species program at the Saint Louis Zoo.
