From 6 to 8 p.m., crowds gathered in the Lakewood Shopping Center at Gaston & Abrams to take in the Christmas extravaganza that has grown from a humble beginning in 2002. Founder Elizabeth Mast started the tradition as a customer appreciation event for her store, Talulah and Hess.

Now, other businesses in the area have joined to create an evening that gives everyone a chance to visit shops, hear Christmas carols and take photos with Santa.

Of course, the event isn’t complete without Santa turning on the giant switch to light up the Christmas tree next to the plaza.
