The Creek Cafe is not afraid to break barriers, and it is doing so again as it introduces a seasonal vegan menu on Wednesday nights.

Chef Misao Masuda has worked at high end restaurants in Hawaii prior to coming to East Dallas, where he opened the cafe that served omelettes, paninis and Japanese style fluffy pancakes.

Masuda expressed his desire to expand the menu, and he has followed through on his promise to move beyond breakfast and paninis. On Wednesdays from 4-8 p.m., guests can enjoy a a Japanese-inspired vegan tasting menu for $25 per person.

For what the restaurant calls “Western-style vegan cuisine, reimagined from a Tokyo perspective,” the summer menu includes shiitake stew, spicy eggplant, blanched carrots, tomato and tofu millefeuille, peach pudding with mochi and more.
