“Please put your tray tables in their upright and locked positions.” “To wish someone a Merry Christmas, press 2!” If you’ve heard these automated words before, it’s possible that you were listening to the voice of neighborhood resident Angie Bolling. As a 25-year talent for the Kim Dawson Agency, Bolling has done it all: modeling, acting and voiceovers. Her soothing, smart voice, silver hair and classic style help her land spots that fit her look and sound. “I’m now in that aging baby-boomer category where we have Nexium and a great life!” Bolling says, smiling. In the ’80s and ’90s, Bolling played roles like Robocop’s wife, acted opposite Tommy Lee Jones in “The River Rat,” and performed in a slew of television commercials.

“I did so many commercials because I was the typical brunette mom and businesswoman,” Bolling says. More recently, she appeared in a Dove commercial airing in Canadian and Asian markets. She also appeared in the movie “Friday Night Lights” and is currently working on a commercial for TXU. The Kim Dawson agency recently named her as its top earner. “To be an old broad, and the top earner, that’s success,” Bolling says. “It’s good to be a woman and get paid for talking.”
