Been hankering for a 3.5-ton decorative statue of Buddha to complete your home decor? That’s exactly what Christopher Crawford is hoping: He and his wife are opening Urban Asia next month at 1901 Henderson Ave., according to the Dallas Business Journal.
The store’s 1,800 square feet will be filled with Asian furniture, imported from China primarily, that is "dark, rich, hand-carved and sexy," Crawford told the Journal.
Crawford is formerly general manager of the Deep Ellum Cafe, and he and his wife split their time between Dallas and Shanghai; his wife grew up in Hong Kong.
