The 35,000-square-foot venue at 317 S. Second Ave. is expected to open in early to mid-June, according to WFAA.

Construction was set to begin on the site on South Second Avenue in June, with a targeted opening of mid-to-late first quarter of 2024.

The Deep Ellum location will be the first Goodsurf to open, owned and operated by Urban Entertainment Concepts; Lakewood neighbor Zach Shor and three business partners founded the company.

“At Goodsurf, we believe everything is better by the water,” Goodsurf CEO Zach Shor said in a release. “Our first venue is rapidly nearing completion, and the vibrant culture we’re fostering here will be electrifying. We’re eager to attract top talent from the DFW area who are passionate about great service and helping to build a fun and inclusive culture. We’re new, so we’re looking for associates who are excited about our mission and want to grow with us as we grow.”

The company announced hiring for several positions: bartenders, servers, hosts, barbacks, wave attendants, line cooks, front-of-house and back-of-house managers.

Goodsurf will also hold open job interviews at Hickory Street Annex from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 6 and 7, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 8 and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 9 and 10. The open job interviews are on a first come first served basis. Individuals must bring a resume and are required to park on the street only.
