If you walk up to the eatery, its entrance will greet you with a “permanently closed” poster instead of a burger.

Twisted Root owner Jason Boso said the lease for the location was up, so he decided to “go on the hunt for some new digs around the area.”

Other Twisted Root locations are still open in Deep Ellum and Richardson.

The closing of this burger join was sudden, according to a Facebook post from Challenge Entertainment, which organized trivia nights at the eatery.

The location between North Central Expressway and Greenville Avenue opened in May 2010 and was in business for nine years before closing.
