The City Council won’t decide anything about the Trinity toll road referendum until it meets Aug. 15. That’s the word from M Streets councilwoman Angela Hunt, who spearheaded the TrinityVote effort to get the referendum on the ballot.

The council has three options: to set a date for the vote in November, to pass the ordinance without alteration, or to sue to overturn the referendum. Hunt didn’t offer an opinion as to what would happen, although she did e-mail me that it will be worth leaving the house to watch. I may have get out the fedora and slip my press card in the hat band and do some real reporting.
