If you never got your hands on a film festival ticket to watch neighbor Josh Jordan’s hit indie movie, “This World Won’t Break,” it’s now available on all streaming platforms.

Passion River Films, the leading documentary and independent film distributor, made the film available on iTunes globally and Amazon in the U.S. and U.K. It’s also available on Fandango, YouTube, Google Play, Comcast and Spectrum cable.

Still want the big-screen experience? For $30 a car, you can watch it at the “CarBaret Drive-In” at Four Corner Brewing Co. The Oct. 16 event, hosted by KXT 91.7 and State Fair Records, includes performances by country artists Joshua Ray Walker and Matt Hillyer.

East Dallas’ State Fair Records will also release the soundtrack Oct. 16. Vinyl will be available in November.

Jordan directed the film, which follows broke-down, middle-aged Texas troubadour Wes Milligan as he pursues his musical dream. He longs to be remembered as a country legend, but his failings and self-doubt frustrate his career.

It was shot in Dallas and includes several scenes from our neighborhood, including White Rock Lake, Good Records, Swiss Avenue and Johnny’s Liquor Store.

Matthew Posey, a Hollywood Heights neighbor who has appeared in “The Magnificent Seven” and “No Country for Old Men,” plays the protagonist’s father, and Lakewood musician Tim DeLaughter is cast as a cross-dressing landlord.

At its world premiere at the Dallas International Film Festival, it won the Best Narrative Feature Film award. “This World Won’t Break” became a hit and was selected for 12 festivals around the world. It went on to win 14 other awards, including Best Cinematography, Best New Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.
