Shakespeare Dallas will present Shakespeare in the Park’s ‘Twelfth Night’ at the Samuell-Grand Amphitheatre, at 1500 Tenison, starting June 15 through July 21. Performances begin at 8:15 p.m. Ticket prices range from $7-10. Children 12 and under are free.

Celebrate the grand opening of the White Rock Hills Branch Library from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, June 16. The event will include art demonstrations and storytelling, as well as performances by Aztec Dancers, African Drummers, Ballet Folklorica, the Dallas Police Choir and more. A parade will assemble at White Rock Church of Christ and begin at 9:30 a.m. Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite storybook character.

Promise of Peace Community Garden will host a fundraiser for the garden and the community at 7446 E. Grand from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 16. The event, Okra Palooza, will feature performances from Douglass Fairweather and Fingerless Ghost. People may taste home-brewed beer from Seven Summits and concoctions from the okra recipe contest. Ticket prices range from $10-$20.

Take part in the Summer Solstice Duathlon & 5K which starts at the Bath House Cultural Center at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, June 17. The duathlon includes a 2-mile run, 9.5-mile bike ride and another 2-mile run. The 5k run will start with the duathlon, but goes past the duathlon turn to a point farther north on East Lawther. Cost is $22 for the 5k and $50 for the duathlon.
