Viva Dallas Burlesque presents ‘Salute the Troops,’ a USO style tribute to the Red, White and Blue, at the Lakewood Theater on Friday, July 6. The show stars The Jigglewatts of Austin, Texas & Dallas’ own Diamond Bettys. Doors open at 8 p.m. Show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $20.

Don your red, white and blue sports attire for the Dallas Running Club’s Independence Day 5K/10K at Winfrey Point at White Rock Lake on Saturday, July 7. Kids can do crafts and participate in their own race. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. Races start at 8 a.m. Members can participate for free, non-members for $10.

The Basically Beethoven Festival continues with musical performances from Adam Phan and Jim Wang at the Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park on Sunday, July 8. Doors open at 2 p.m. Recital starts at 2:30 p.m. Feature performance at 3 p.m. Admission is free.

Celebrate the grand opening of Monster Yogurt, located in the Casa Linda Plaza next to Alligator Café, with free chair massages from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Monday, July 9.
