Saturday, Nov. 21, students and staff from Woodrow Wilson High School, Eduardo Mata and Mount Auburn elementary schools and J.L. Long Middle School will help break ground on the Promise of Peace Community Garden, located at 7446 East Grand. The “peace garden” symbolizes the community’s effort to make East Dallas safer for children. Groundbreaking will feature music and activities for the whole family.
Also this weekend, the Trains at NorthPark Sneak Peek is Saturday, Nov. 21. Kid Conductor, Peyton Nichols, who has stayed at the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, will blow the whistle to open the exhibit at 8:30 a.m. Trains open at 10 a.m. to the public.
