Here is a long list of Halloween-related events going on in the neighborhood this weekend.
The Lakewood Theater screens “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” Friday and Saturday.
The Hexter Howl 5k and 1K run and carnival is from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. It is Hexter Elementary School’s largest fundraiser of the year, and all proceeds go to the Hexter Literacy Library.
Taste of Greenville Avenue is from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Energy Square, 4925 Greenville at University. Admission is free, and some 30 restaurants will offer small plates for $3-$6 each. A wristband to purchase alcohol costs $2. Local bands and choirs will perform.
The Green Elephant hosts the “PBR for Pups” fundraiser, from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30. The benefit concert includes a performance from Brave Combo. Admission is $10, and all proceeds to to Linens for Animals and White Rock Dog Rescue.
