Owners Teri and Kam De Leon recently held a soft opening at the food park located at 3732 Samuell Blvd., the former Keller’s Drive-In site.

The venue features a full-time food vendor, Locura Small Bites, which serves elote and other items. Plus, The Shindig will have a rotating selection of food trucks selling sweet and savory dishes, along with a full bar.

Visitors are invited to bring their kids and dogs. There are shaded areas and fans near seating areas, and kids can enjoy the large play area with a gaga ball pit, giant legos and other amenities at the half-acre property.

Large groups can reserve private patio space.

During the summer, The Shindig is open 5-9 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday.

The De Leons spoke to the Advocate in May about their plans for their latest concept. While they have closed DeLeon Provisions, they hope to maintain the relationships built through the catering company in their new venture. And they said they’re excited to let someone else do the cooking, while they focus on hosting.

“Even the Red Hot Chili Peppers are addicted to the shindig,” Teri said.
