The Shops at Park Lane has a brand new addition with the opening of The Park, the new outdoor gathering space, located in the heart of the shopping center.
The Park is 10,000-square-foot of open green space that’s designed to “create a sense of place to relax and dine outdoors,” according to an email for The Shops at Park Lane. It includes multiple water features with an interactive fountain for kids, along with seating areas, power outlets and even free Wi-Fi. Nearby, Starbucks, which opened just a couple weeks ago, and Zoës Kitchen feature large outdoor patios overlooking The Park. Also, Crisp Salad Co. opens in May.
To get in on the fun, this summer’s line-up includes:
Fitness Fridays, for which neighbors can enjoy a free yoga or Pilates class in The Park, hosted by Studio6 every Friday in May at noon. The best part is it’s free and open to the public. Just bring a mat and water.
And don’t miss movies in The Park. Pack up your blankets and chairs to enjoy a movie on the big screen every Friday in June on the beautifully landscaped lawn. On June 5 is “Pitch Perfect,” June 12 is “Jurassic Park,” June 19 is “Zoolander,” and June 26 is “Despicable Me 2.” Movies in The Park start at 8:30 p.m. or dusk, weather permitting. They are also free and open to the public. No coolers or alcohol permitted. The schedule is subject to change.
The Park also can be booked for public or private events and offers the capability to close off the adjacent street. Coming up, the space will host D Magazine’s GrillFest on May 2 and Mutts at the Movies with 100.3 JACK FM and the SPCA of Texas on May 9.
