The Mecca has been serving breakfast all day at its current location on Harry Hines for 44 years. Manager Cheryl Hurt tells Scott Reitz at City of Ate that the restaurant will add dinner service with the move.

From Reitz’s report:

The new Mecca will be a lot like the old Mecca. They’re taking all the pictures from the walls and the furniture from the dining room. They’re taking that old, retro, neon sign as long as the city lets them install it at the new location.

The new location is across the street from Gold Rush Cafe and adjacent to the new Matt’s Rancho Martinez.
