The Lab at Lake Highlands will now become The Lab at Lakewood.
The Lab, which provides fun science-based parties, classes and camps for kids will move out of it’s current location on Shoreview near Ferndale and into a spot at 5304 Junius in the Historic Junius Heights neighborhood, better known as “next to Garden Cafe” on May 1.
Owner Melissa Wright says relocation was not an easy decision but that the Shoreview location caused her “many headaches”. I know from talking to her a few months back that she had some differences of opinion with owners of the salon next door, though I don’t remember the conversation well enough to elaborate further.
Bottom line: Wright feels she had to seize this rare chance. “When the opportunity to occupy an amazing, affordable space was offered, I could not pass it up.”
The Lab at Lake Highlands will host one last camp, Spring Break Camp 2011, at the Lake Highlands location. Details after the jump:
