Restaurateurs Jason Caswell and Shawn Corley are chugging away on a restaurant redo in the former LG Taps on Greenville Avenue.

In January, the neighborhood bar became the third outpost of The Chuggin’ Monk. Although the pair became managing partners of the bar in 2018, for contractual reasons, they had to keep the LG Taps name until January 2020, the Dallas Morning News reported.

“That name was stupid,” Caswell told the Morning News.

The bar at 3619 Greenville Ave. now carries the name of locations in Arlington and in Fort Worth.

Besides the name, not much else has changed since a makeover in 2017. The menu remains the same, and Caswell and Corley said the bar will maintain its neighborhood feel.

“It’s just a comfortable feel, and you don’t have to worry about dressing up,” Caswell told the paper.

The Lower Greenville location has seen its fair share of concepts in the years since the end of J.Pepe’sVagabond and Knuckle Sandwich occupied that space but didn’t last long.
