Lakewood-based writer and filmmaker Mike Looney will debut a 10-minute trailer for his film, “The Big Shootout,” at the Alzheimer’s Women’s Association for Resources and Education fundraising luncheon March 23.
“The Big Shootout” is a documentary that chronicles a football game played on Dec. 6, 1969 in Fayetteville, Ark. between the Texas Longhorns and the Arkansas Razorbacks.
The two coaches from that game, Darrell K. Royal and Frank Broyles, will be honored at the luncheon, which raises money for the Alzhimer’s Foundation of America. Members from the 1969 teams are expected to attend as well.
