Families in need soon can receive vital medications for free, thanks to a St. Vincent de Paul pharmacy opening in Vickery Meadow.

Located at Northwest Bible Community Center, the public pharmacy is hosting its grand opening Tuesday at 11 a.m.

St. Vincent de Paul is overseeing the pharmacy’s operations. The organization receives donated medication from pharmaceutical companies and the nonprofit Dispensary of Hope. To qualify for free medication, residents must:

    • Be without health insurance
    • Have a household income at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level
    • Have a valid prescription

The pharmacy is open Mondays-Fridays. from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Learn more about signing up for free medication or volunteering here.
