Update: The victim has been identified as Jerry Nguyen. He was a student at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet and being dropped off to catch the bus from Bryan Adams. No word yet on whether the driver, who was making an illegal U-turn when the boy was struck, will face charges.

A tragic story unfolded in front of Bryan Adams High School this morning when a 16-year-old boy was struck and killed by a vehicle, WFAA reported.

The driver, who had just dropped off the teen, was making a U-turn and hit the teen, pinning him under the green Volkswagen Beetle. Rescue crews got him out and transported him to Baylor Hospital where he died.

The driver, a female, has not been identified, but the Dallas Morning News reports she is not related to the victim and that the victim is a student at Townview Center. The boy’s parents also have not yet been identified.
