A Japanese restaurant is coming to the Continental Gin Building in Deep Ellum later this year.
Tatsu Dallas is a product of chef Tatsuya Sekiguchi, a fourth-generation master sushi chef who once worked at New York City’s Sushi Yasuda, which has one Michelin star.
There will be eight seats in the omakase restaurant, where diners rely on the chef to determine their meal, CultureMap reported. Tatsu is set to open in winter.
Sekiguchi has been busy in Texas, stopping in for a bite at Deep Ellum’s Ichigoh Ramen Lounge and purchasing a pair of Lucchese boots.
Tatsu will be located on the first floor of the Continental Gin Building, which was recently renovated. Fiction Coffee is also located on the first floor, and Common Desk is on the second floor.
