A neighbor sent us this photo of a getaway car believed to have been used in a robbery of the T-Mobile store at 6342 Gaston (near Jerry’s Wood-Fired Dogs and Republic Title).
The snatch-and-grab (as described by a T-Mobile employee) robbery occurred about 3 p.m. Friday; the witness says one African-American in his early 20s was sitting in the car and two other African-Americans in their early 20s came running to the car following the robbery, after which the car sped off.
While in the store, the employee said the robbers “swung a wire-cutter at one of the employees” but made no contact, grabbed a handful of phones and escaped; no one was hurt, and no weapons (other than the wire-cutter) were displayed.
Keep an eye out for this car, and call 911 if you see it. The car had no license plate in the front.
