A man suspected of robbing four banks surrendered to authorities in Old East Dallas on Wednesday, Dallas Morning News reports.
Witness tips led police to a residence near Hall and Live Oak, where SWAT assisted in the arrest. There were no injuries during the encounter, but houses were evacuated as a precaution.
The man is suspected of three robberies on Wednesday, including the Compass Bank in Lakewood and three others in Oak Lawn and North Dallas.
Lt. Yancey Nelson from the Dallas Police Department said the man used a note during the robberies while displaying a weapon that he never fired.
