Gipson was a three-star recruit who signed as a wide receiver with Stephen F. Austin. He started four years at Woodrow, primarily playing as cornerback and on special teams. Van Horn is a midfielder who signed with Iona College in New York for soccer.

Hernandez is an all-state swimmer committed to Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. Henderson played volleyball and track for Bryan Adams. Athletic Director Gil Baber said she has received several college offers for track but has not yet decided.

Coaches select one male and female student from every school in every district, and winners are decided by an online vote. Neighbors can vote as many times as they want here. Voting closes at 5 p.m. Friday.

The winners will receive a $1,000 scholarship and a character development curriculum for their school.
