The Greenville Avenue St. Patrick’s Day parade will start at 11 a.m. and run south down the avenue from the intersection with Blackwell to SMU Boulevard, where it will take a right and end. More than 125,000 people are expected to turn out and see about 90 floats join the fun. Proceeds from the parade benefit the Greenville Avenue Area Business Association Scholarship Fund, which has donated more than $115,000 in scholarship money to Dallas ISD students. This will be the 39th annual parade. This year’s parade grand marshall will be Woodrow grad and “Blazing Saddles” actor Burton Gilliam.
