Sprouts Farmers Market and Sunflower Farmers Market, which were two separate grocery chains, are one today. Sprouts acquired Sunflower Tuesday after months of negotiation.

The Denver Post reports that “Sprouts is positioned to post annual revenues of $2 billion and become ‘one of the larger grocers in the western United States,’ with stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas, officials said. Sprouts operates 144 stores and employs 11,000 people.”
