Run or walk in the 5K. The Dash Down Greenville starts at 8 a.m.

Attend the parade. It starts at 11 a.m. We recommend public transportation, rather than attempting to park in the area.

If you do wind up on the DART rail at Mockingbird Station, consider Trinity Hall Irish Pub. They’re throwing an all-day party, starting with televised rugby matches early in the morning. That goes great with Irish breakfast. Later, the Dallas Firefighters Pipes & Drum perform.

Be part of the parade. Ride with this fun-loving, female-led cycling club along with the owners of Switching Gears Cyclery, which meet at 10:30 a.m. at Park and Greenville. Or volunteer for the parade recycling team.

Hang out at Barcadia for a good cause. Ten percent of all food and alcohol sales, from 2-6 p.m., will be donated to Promise of Peace.

Listen to “handmade music” from Homespun Remedies at the Old Monk. This Dallas-based band performs at 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
