Amanda Dalton school of dance, located in East Dallas, has served the Lake Highlands and Lakewood communities for over 14 years. They offer ballet, tap ,jazz ,musical theater and hip-hop classes ranging from ages two through adult. They love our community and love providing dance to all of the children in the neighborhood.

Barking Hound Village is a locally-owned dog boarding and daycare facility with private suites and indoor/outdoor play areas. The dogs play in groups by size and temperament five times a day for 30 minutes each time. If you need to get your dogs out of the house for some socializing and playtime with a bath, we are here for you. They are grateful for your support and look forward to helping with your doggie daycare needs.

Ms. DiGiuseppe Bowman was a professional dancer and wanted to create both a home for the non profit professional company, Contemporary Ballet Dallas, now Ballet Dallas, and implement an exceptional educational program for the dance school. Over the last 15 years, Ms. DiGiuseppe Bowman remains School Director & Owner of the School. Since 2005, the School continues to offer strong and diverse dance and fitness programs, including classes for the total beginner thru advanced dancer, no matter what age with established programs in Kinder Program: ages 18months-6 yrs, Recreational Program ages 6 yrs+, Pre-Professional Program: ages 9yrs+, and the Adult Dance Program. Techniques offered include Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip hop, Contemporary, Creative Movement, Parent & Me, Pilates, Barre, and more! In January of 2013, after 8.5 years in Lakewood, the school relocated to their new home on Mockingbird near Central Expy.

Our instructors have extensive training and professional experience. CBD has five state of the art studios equipped with Marley and sprung-wood floors. All teaching methods are geared towards injury-free training. Our instructors encourage all dancers to broaden their artistic horizons and realize their creative potential.

The Creative Arts Center of Dallas (CAC) is a 54-year-old dynamic arts organization and thriving arts community for a diverse range of students from teens to seniors pursuing a variety of artistic mediums. Offering more than 500 classes and workshops each year in ceramics, clay sculpture, drawing, jewelry making, glass, mosaic, painting, printmaking, stone carving and welded sculpture, CAC is a safe-haven for people to “claim their creativity” through authentic and enriching hands-on arts experiences. The non-profit organization also provides reach outreach programming to under-served and marginalized populations through programs, such as ArtAbility, Art as a Second Language, Camp MetalHead and unseenamerica. It has many collaborations, including Austin Street Shelter, Booker T. Washington HSPVA, Cafe Momentum and a new creative aging program at St. Matthews Episcopal Cathedral.

Globe Aware, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) develops short-term volunteer programs in international environments that encourage people to immerse themselves in a unique way of giving back. Throughout her career, Kimberly Haley-Coleman would squeeze in volunteering while traveling internationally on business, and consulted with various international NGOs on how to achieve their goals. She was struck by the difficulty of trying to give time effectively in needy communities within the confines of the typically rushed American lifestyle. Over the years, together with a group of like-minded individuals with backgrounds in medicine, construction, sustainability and communications, she helped to co-found Globe Aware. The objective was to allow busy Westerners a forum for giving their time in an organized fashion in a way that was significantly meaningful and fun for the recipient communities and for the volunteer.
