Woodrow’s PTA is taking the smart but unusual step of selling the benefits of a Woodrow Wilson High School (aka public school education) to the people who often serve as gatekeepers for our neighborhood: Realtors. The PTA is hosting a "Sold on Woodrow" information reception and tour Thursday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m.-noon, on the third floor in the school library. Teachers, administrators, coaches, counselors and parents will be available to answer questions, and a few students will talk about their experience at the school, too. It’s a good idea, because some Realtors aren’t familiar enough with Woodrow and the entire neighborhood public school cluster to speak intelligently about the pluses and minuses of our schools. And when prospective homeowners new to the neighborhood are thinking about moving here, the first and most authoritative person they’ll probably talk with at first is a neighborhood Realtor.
