Dallas police arrested 18-year-old Andrew Ramiro Martinez, the person who struck 73-year-old Linda Pearson, FOX 4 reported. Pearson was walking her dog near the 10100 block of Ferguson Road when she was hit.

Last week, the police arrested 19-year-old Brayan Ontiveros Montoya, who is charged with street racing and causing an accident involving death.

“Because of the community’s support, and because of the tenacious and relentless follow-up by your men and women on the Dallas Police Department, I am pleased to say that we have currently identified both drivers that were involved in the incident,” Chief Eddie Garcia said in a virtual community meeting held last week, after Montoya was arrested. “One of those drivers is in custody at this point, and we have identified and are looking for the second driver of that vehicle.”

The recorded meeting can be viewed here.

Martinez and Montoya were each driving a car, and both fled the scene after Pearson was hit Nov. 26.
