Update (11:13 p.m. Aug. 10): Dallas police shared around 8:30 p.m. Aug. 10 that Debroderick Washington was found and is safe.

The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding an 8-year-old who was last seen in East Dallas.

Debroderick Washington was last seen in the 2000 block of North Fitzhugh Avenue around 7 a.m. Thursday, police said. He was wearing gray pants and a green shirt.

Washington is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, according to police, and he may need assistance.
