Lakewood residents Rich and Karen Rogers opened their cheese shop, Scardello, in 2008, and they’re celebrating their three-year anniversary this weekend.
At a party from 5:30-10:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, your first glass of wine is $3, and after that, every glass is $6. They’ll also be serving the “cheesemonger’s choice” cheese plate.
Scardello offers fondue night at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28. The $40 deal includes an appetizer, fondue, salami, bread, fruit, green salad and dessert of locally made chocolate truffles. A complimentary glass of bubbly also is included.
The shop also offers classes on topics including fondue, cheese 101, entertaining with cheese, and the enticing beer vs. wine smack down.
