Residents of Forest Hills, Enclave and Highland on the Creek thought they were buying a house with easy access to beautiful White Rock Lake, but for years they have had to play Frogger on San Rafael to make it to the water.
There are only a few roads that access Garland from the neighborhood, and San Rafael serves as one of the busiest roads. At the same time, the lack of sidewalks left pedestrians tromping through greenways or risking their lives on the street to traverse the area.
This is just one of many City of Dallas projects in East Dallas. Construction is moving quickly, and soon strollers, wheelchairs and joggers alike will be able to enjoy their neighborhood waterway with ease.
