Rex’s Seafood didn’t make the cut on Lovers Lane. Or Mockingbird and Abrams in our neighborhood. But maybe, just maybe, Rex’s Seafood will thrive at 6713 W. Northwest Highway, where Kickshaw’s Fast Gastro Food & Drink previously doled out braised short ribs and burgers. CultureMap reported its new location is slated to open in January 2019.

RIP, Don Chingon. The restaurant at 2237 Greenville Ave. near Belmont Avenue shuttered after mid-October flooding and struggling to appease finicky neighbors. “There were leaks in the roof that needed to be fixed, but ultimately we decided it was time to get out of that neighborhood,” co-owner Shawn Rao told CultureMap.
