A second rape in less than one week has been reported in our neighborhood.
Details are few, but police were called to West Lawther about 3 p.m. Wednesday. The police report does not state whether the victim was male or female, and it does not give the exact location on West Lawther.
A Dallas police spokeswoman said the department cannot give out any more information than what is in the police report, which states exactly this: “UNK SUSP ATTEMPTED A CRIM ASLT ON COMP, KNOCKED COMP OUT”. The report states the crime as attempted criminal assault, but in the online records archive, it is listed as rape.
Another rape was reported in the Lower Greenville area Saturday.
