A martial arts studio under construction in the Arboretum Village shopping center is nearing completion, with an opening date scheduled for next month.
Premier Martial Arts plans on welcoming founding members to a soft opening the week of March 22, followed by a grand opening for the general public April 10.
Franchise owner Clint Justice opened the first of what will be several franchises in Lake Highlands in November. He had hoped to open the Lakewood location in late February or early March, but construction took a few weeks longer than expected.
The studio is located at 7331 Gaston Ave. between Ace Hardware and White Rock Alehouse near the Garland-Gaston-Grand intersection.
