Police suspect a family — man, woman and child — of targeting seniors in this car repair scam. On two separate occasions in March, the family flagged down women and offered to fix some minor damage to their cars.

In the first case, the encounter happened moments after the 84-year-old woman had withdrawn money from her bank on Mockingbird in the northeast Dallas area. While the male suspect distracted her, the other suspects likely lifted $700 cash from the victim’s purse. The victim told the police she believes they followed her from the bank.
