Destiny Ripka has been found safe and in good health, police say.

Updated 8 p.m. Nov. 6:

Police say Destiny Ripka’s status has changed from “critical missing” to a “runaway” case. Police also report, “Ripka, 16, since she was reported missing on Nov. 3, has been seen in person by a family friend and on video at a local medical facility. She attempted to fill a prescription at the facility, but her request was denied. She was seen on video walking alone, and also near an unknown Black Female. Ripka appeared healthy, and unharmed. There also is evidence that Ripka visited a past residence, where she entered her old bedroom window, took a shower and curled her hair. The Youth Services Section will continue to investigate this case as a runaway and follow all current and future leads to locate the complainant and return her home safely. If anyone has any information regarding the location of the complainant, Youth Services Section should be contacted at 214.671.4268.

Updated 2:15 p.m. Tuesday: A spokesperson from Lakehill Prep shared the following information —

We know now that Monday afternoon at about 1:45 p.m., Destiny obtained information about the DART bus schedule for the 76 bus which goes to the Mockingbird DART Station. She was seen heading east on Vickery at 3:45 p.m. toward the bus stop at the intersection of Abrams and Vickery. It is believed she boarded the bus and headed north. The police are not sure what happened from there. Search dogs could not conclusively pick up Destiny’s scent at the Mockingbird Station where the bus line ends. She has her backpack with her (white, blue and green patterned) and it is believed a change of clothes. The police are looking everywhere and are following every lead.
