Councilmember Paula Blackmon (District 9) is calling for neighbors living within the proposed Lakewood Conservation District expansion area (CD2) to submit feedback prior to the upcoming Feb. 26 Council meeting.
Taking place after the Nov. 21, 2024 City Plan and Zoning Commission meeting — where the revised expansion boundary area was passed — the Feb. 26 meeting will include the final decision from the City Council about the CD2.
The statement, released earlier today on social media, informs neighbors living within notification areas that they will be receiving a response form in “early February.” Those wanting to provide additional feedback, or to meet with Councilmember Blackmon, can reach out via email at paula.blackmon@dallas.gov.
The CD2 will include developmental and architectural regulations intended to “maintain the character of the area” and “ensure that any remodeling of existing homes and all new construction in the area being considered will be compatible with the original homes in the district,” according to the statement.
