We may have to wait a little while longer for the opening of Palmer’s Hot Chicken in East Dallas, but this weekend, Dallasites can get a taste of what the Nashville-inspired chicken joint will have to offer. On Saturday, Sept. 12, Alamo Club on Lower Greenville will host a Palmer’s Hot Chicken pop-up, allowing customers a sneak peek at some of the menu items.

“I didn’t want to create my tweak of Nashville hot chicken,” said owner Palmer Fortune in a statement. “This is actually the real deal. All the credit goes to Nashville.”

From noon to 10 p.m., guests can order the mother clucker fried chicken sammich with spice levels varying from “naked,” “novice,” “Nashville” and “napalm” ($10). They can choose two sides with their sandwich, from options including piment, cheese grits and collards. For an additional $5, they can have a helping of homemade nanner pudding for dessert.

Individual servings of frosé will be available for purchase for only $9 and quart-sized jugs will be available to take home for $20.

Alamo Club is located at 1919 Greenville Ave., Dallas. Palmer’s Hot Chicken will open later this month at 6465 East Mockingbird Lane, Dallas.
