Olivella’s Pizza & Wine, a pizza chain with four locations in Dallas-Fort Worth, including one in Lakewood, opened an Italian deli at its Deep Ellum restaurant.
The concept, Olivella’s Italian Deli, offers 19 panini and sub sandwiches, served with hoagie rolls and house-made bread.
A few of the options include meatball, chicken parmesan, chicken pesto, sausage and peppers, and the Italian club.
Appetizers, salads, soups, desserts and a limited number of pastas and pizzas are also available at the storefront, located at the Deep Ellum location at 2816 Elm St. Diners can also enjoy a full bar with wine and beer.
Olivella’s Italian Deli is open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday for dine in, carry out and delivery.
Charlie Green founded Olivella’s Pizza & Wine 16 years ago, with help from Salvatore Olivella, the great-grandson of the family that opened Trianon in Naples, Italy. The Hillside Village location was the third to open, in 2012.
Green told the Advocate in 2014 that the Mockingbird-Abrams location was chosen because of its large patio.
Over time, Olivella’s has become known for its Neapolitan-style pizza, which features a thin crust.
