Paul Jerde
Associa Cares, a nonprofit that assists families and communities in crisis, donated money for a rehabilitation treadmill harness for Paul Jerde, a cyclist who was seriously injured at White Rock Lake in 2008.
Jerde was struck from behind by a car on June 14, 2008. He was wearing a helmet, but he sustained a major head injury, fractured ribs and a punctured lung. The treadmill harness will help Jerde practice walking.
