DART received a national award from Americans for the Arts for two East Dallas art projects, the Fair Park Station and the Traveling Man installation. The organization selected them from more than 300 entries in 29 cities to be included in its “2010 Public Art Year in Review”.
PRESERVATION DALLAS released its annual list of the city’s most endangered historic sites, which includes Davy Crocket School on North Carroll and Oran M. Roberts Elementary School at Fitzhugh and Grand. For more information about the list, visit preservationdallas.org.

THE SHARE HIGH SCHOOL EXCHANGE PROGRAM is searching for host families for the fall semester. The program includes students from more than 30 countries and aims to get kids enrolled in school this month. The students speak English and have spending money and health insurance.
