Rodeo Cold, a 1980s, Texas-themed dive and backyard bar, is soft opening on Saturday, Dec. 14 on Ross Avenue.
The indoor/outdoor space will be having its grand opening in the spring of 2025 and features a patio, stage, gaming yard and programming that will include, karaoke, free chilli nights, life-size games and Chicken Shit Bingo — yes, that’s the name and yes, a live chicken will be in attendance.
Rodeo Cold was founded by Robert Drummond and brothers Ian and Eric Fletcher. The bar concept honors their father, Stan Fletcher, who was one of the original bartenders at the first Chili’s location on Greenville Avenue in 1978.
The menu features several uniquely-named items like The Boss Hog of Ross Dog, an all-beef frank with grilled onions, Rodeo sauce and chopped pickled jalapeños and Give ‘Em The Fingers, steak fingers with Texas Toast, served with fries and jalapeño gravy.
Rodeo Cold’s hours of operation will be Tuesday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. — with Happy Hour specials available Tuesday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.Â
